Hard to live intelligently without Google

It's almost a miracle that my Antipodes blog still exists, because everything else of a Google nature has disappeared in France.

I disagree entirely with the idea that Google should be punished so harshly with a gigantic fine, as if they were earning their living by selling soda water, or inviting Internet users to "like" friends who publish nice words about them, or using drones to deliver books to folk who live out of town, etc.

Google is infinitely more than that. It's a beacon of civilization and future wisdom.
