I wish I had just ONE appearance on my agenda right now; I'd probably go for $1,000.00! Celebrity worship has reached an all time low, but methinks we are surely back to the Court of Versailles. And we all know how that turned out. And the Hiltons are not even "that" rich. LOL.

I doubt that Paris is really "that" smart, but her publicist, handler, mother and manager is. Paris is a show dog, as all these celebutantes are, born and bred to a "show of wealth" and little else. That's why I quit going to horse shows, even though I love horses.

The Hilton grandfather started the hotel chain and the offspring run it, "sort of." I'm embarrassed to find that my compatriots might be charmed by such superficiality. Meanwhile, Paris is probably a smart bird at a financial level... with Hilton genes in her DNA. So, we can't really blame her for strutting off to Australia for a few days of sun, shopping and fan worship... accompanied by a small check (peanuts for Paris) to cover expenses.

Funny anecdote. Why do I happen to be constantly aware of the antics of the Hilton heiress? Well, I automatically take a look at articles in the Australian press mentioning "Paris", since I imagine naively that a journalist might have written something interesting about the great French City of Light. I'm always disappointed to stumble upon an article about the great American Lightweight Citizen. That insanely large handout investment of $100,000 to entice Paris and Nicky Hilton to a social event in Sydney symbolizes a belief I've often expressed. There's tons of money Down Under. But much of this surplus cash gets funneled into the greedy clutches of foreign billionaires instead of being used to build roads, railways, bridges and a decent defense system."

You took the words right out of my mouth!Catherine Toddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16106773955427187343noreply@blogger.com
